Before you start coding

Please review our Terms and Conditions below

Quick summary: CodX Editor is a free, browser-based code editor. Standard drafts stay in your browser; optional sharing, collaboration, GitHub, translation, publishing, and Node.js features use external or server-side services. By continuing, you agree to the terms.

Service Description

CodX Editor lets you write, run, and debug HTML, CSS, and JavaScript directly in your browser. You can build multi-file projects, import individual files or zipped folders, inspect the live preview, and export your work when you are ready. The service is provided "as is" without warranties.

Before You Continue

  • Projects stored in your browser remain on this browser and device unless you export or sync them
  • Download important projects or save them to GitHub before clearing browser data
  • Only import and preview code from sources you trust

Your Responsibilities

  • Use the service only for lawful purposes
  • Do not create or distribute malicious code or malware
  • Do not attempt unauthorized access to our systems
  • Take responsibility for backing up your own code

Your Content & Privacy

You own your code. Browser projects remain local by default. Content is transmitted when you deliberately use features that require it, such as publishing, collaboration, GitHub, or a connected runtime. See our Terms and Privacy Guide for details.

Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" without guarantees. We are not liable for any loss of data, code, or damages resulting from your use of the service.

Updates

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
